The title is derived from the phrase that the American Indians would call someone who was seventeen years old.

One theory on how this works is that the viewer’s cones react to the energy of the painting producing a blinking light. What and how this happens is still unclear. It appears that the vibration and the trust of the viewer, when in a relaxed state; produce the blinking light. As a unit; the painter, the canvas, the paint, and the viewer create an unusual metaphysical experience. The blinking is a joint effort. Usually the people who see the light blinking are kids and people who meditate. I can only assume it is because their vibration is strong, clean, and clear.
