This composition serves as a sophisticated chromatic exploration of the seasonal shift, anchored by a verdant hierarchy of mint, avocado, and olive pigments. Drawing from a professional lineage in New York City’s high-fashion textile design, the artist applies a rigorous, industry-informed lens to the canvas, elevating color from a mere descriptive tool to the work’s primary formal subject.

The brilliance of the spring foliage is achieved through a mastery of color theory, specifically the juxtaposition of high-saturation greens against a somber, desaturated understory. By layering these "living green" hues over the skeletal remains of winter which are greys and raw umbers, I am able to   contrast the colors with vibrancy and  greater intensity.

The viewer is able to take a spring walk through the forest. The small buds are growing on the limbs against the stark bare trees behind them. Spring is on its way!!
