When your past blends into your future, this is how it affects your painting. In my 20s, I lived in the East Village during the 90s, surrounded by all of its creative energy. Women like Helen Frankenthaler, Lee Krasner and Patty Smith were still a major influence. I moved to the mountains of New Hampshire in 2010, still with the modern sense of painting that the the East Village showed me, an influence that moved into my paintings of these remote mountains, as seen in these pics. How has your past influenced your future?
